If you’re reading this, welcome to Crossfade. Today is 2 July 2026, and I’m writing this while sitting in front of my laptop, slowly building what will eventually become the Crossfade website. It’s very much a work in progress. Most of the pages as in for now are unfinished, half the buttons probably don’t work yet, and I’m still deciding what colour half of the website should be. But I didn’t want to wait until everything was perfect before sharing it. Crossfade was not born out of perfection and perfect timing. It’s about building something, learning as we go, and inviting people to be part of that journey.

So this blog is where I’ll document it all. The exciting moments, the difficult ones, the ideas that change overnight, the projects, the people, the lessons, the mistakes and hopefully, the growth.

Why I decided to create Crossfade? The short answer is because I couldn’t stop thinking about a question:
What happens after the first opportunity?

Over the past few years I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet amazing people, take part in workshops, perform on radio, play festivals and become part of London’s refugee arts community. Those experiences changed my life. But they also made me realise that many opportunities stop just as people begin to believe in themselves.

That’s where the idea for Crossfade began. Not as another project. Not as another workshop. But as something that could grow with people over time. One thing that’s really important to say is that I’m not building this alone.

Yes, I registered the CIC and yes, you’ll probably see my face a little too much on this website at the moment. But Crossfade has already been shaped by so many conversations, collaborators, artists, friends, mentors and organisations who have believed in the idea, challenged it and helped it grow. Over the coming months I’ll introduce you to those people and share more about why Crossfade exists, what we’re trying to build and where we’re hoping to go.

Because this isn’t really my story. It’s the beginning of ours. For now, thanks for stopping by.
